Meet Your Trainer: Victor Forsyth

Hi, I’m Victor Forsyth, owner and trainer at Clear Cut Kennels.

Ever since I was 13 and brought home my first English Setter, I’ve had a passion for working with pointing dogs. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve trained and competed in walking field trials and cover dog trials, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than watching a young pup grow into a confident, capable bird dog.

After growing up in Connecticut, I moved to Kingman, Maine, to be closer to bird-rich ground. Maine’s wild terrain offers the perfect training environment, and I’m proud to give dogs the real-world exposure they need to succeed in the field.

When I’m not training, I’m usually out hunting, fishing, shooting trap, or enjoying good food with friends.

If you’ve got questions about our training philosophy or whether this program is the right fit for your pup, I’m happy to talk it through.
